JOIN ME IN THE KITCHEN!
I have over 25 years of experience in food service, product manufacturing and agriculture and decades of canning my own foods for home and the products available from Turtle Rock Farm at farmer’s markets, local shops and online retailers.
I hold several food handling and manufacturing licenses such as HAACP, Better Process Control and ServSafe, am a certified Holistic Ayurvedic Coach and manage the certified Organic farm and kitchen.
With a commitment to whole system design, my principles are defined by the importance of understanding the seasonality for food and lifestyle as well as best agricultural practices for both a healthful diet and for the health of soil, water and energy resources.
What’s Included
New in-season recipes weekly
Each week a fresh batch of 2 or (many) more recipes open up for access. Complete with the entire preserving process from prepping the produce to packing away as well as options to store each one in the fridge for several weeks or freezer if it’s suited to it rather than on pantry shelves. Each recipe has specific weights and measurements, times and temperatures, storage notes and troubleshooting suggestions. There are over 60 recipes to share from July 15 through October 15 and whenever you join, you will have access to all that are open so far.

You will receive a login and create a password for the Turtle Rock Farm website where recipes are stored by week and category for simple access. You Bet you Can!
If you have never canned or preserved your food before, these recipes are great to start worth. Getting to know foods through preserving and peak seasonality doesn’t just help develop knife skills and kitchen organization though it undoubtedly does. but also helps to develop your experience, knowledge and relationship with particular fruits, vegetables, meat or dairy products in a different way than making it for an entree, even if it is your favorite repeat. Nonna and I both believe home is where the hearth is and that can be an apartment, single family home, the back of your van, the rental kitchen in your AirBnb, your cabin in the woods, farmhouse, townhome or tent. Wherever you are and however long you are there, practicing simple skills based in seasonal living opens you up to navigate the wild and wonderful variety of our modern gardens and grocers.
